Premier A Grade
A top of 13 degrees and showers on Saturday is an ominous sign leading into round six after two weeks which have been heavily impacted by rain.
This weekend also heralds the beginning of two-day cricket.
Churchill v CATS
Churchill will host the clash between top and bottom with CATS still searching for its first win of the season.
The two sides met in the opening round with the Cobras running out convincing 129-run victors in a match which saw star batsman John Keighran hit 72.
Churchill's bowling stocks were also sharp that day with Ryan Harvey and Ross Whelpdale both taking three-fors. CATS batted out 10 overs against Raiders in last week's abandoned clash with Tinashe Panyangara scoring 19 off 22 balls before Jonathan Randall caught him of the bowling of Jack Howarth.
Predictions: Churchill will be too strong for the struggling CATS.
Morwell v Raiders
Morwell Recreation Reserve will host the stoush between Morwell and Raiders.
This weekend's hosts fell 24 runs short when these two sides meet on the opening day of the season despite three batsmen scoring 20 or more runs.
Morwell didn't get on at all for the second weekend in a row, spoiling any chance of building on the round three win over CATS which remains the Tigers' only victory of the season.
Raiders did get on last week, keeping CATS to less than three runs an over before play was abandoned 10 overs in.
Prediction: Tight match, toss could be key. Morwell to edge it.
Mirboo North v Latrobe
The Sharks head south to take on Mirboo North and Adam Duncan's side will have fond memories of the last time they faced the Tigers, a convincing 70-run win in round one.
Mirboo North only got 11 balls into round five, 11 more than Latrobe. In fact, those 11 balls is the only cricket either of these sides have played during the past fortnight, which may have an effect on lines and length.
Prediction: Mirboo North with home advantage to win.
