THE Mens Metro 1 East Baw Baw side easily defeated an undermanned Kew, 9-0.
It was a great performance all round but the highlight of the match was veteran Paul Krammer.
He scored four goals in a classic display on the right wing.
Another highlight was Ben Bloomfield in goals who made several great saves.
He also joined a select bunch of goal keepers to score a goal from a penalty stroke late in the second half.
Mens SL3
A SUPER high tempo first half set up Baw Baw's 3-2 victory against Footscray.
The forward pressure from Jesse Ward, Julian Hannah and Steve Pearse caused countless turnovers enabling the midfield players to have a field day.
All the goals resulted from forcing Footscray into errors from its backline.
Pearse was among it again, coolly converting a penalty shot and later slotting home a rehearsed penalty corner to set up the win.
Michael Ballantyne's desperate diving effort got the second goal.
Footscray came out firing in the second half and got back into the match but Bulls goalie Andrew Goetz repelled the onslaught.
In the course of the match Goetz calmly stopped penalty corner after penalty corner and also saved two penalty strokes just for good measure.
Womens Metro 3 South
BAW Baw defeated Monash University in a good all round team effort.
Claire Rayner, Susan Sewell, Michelle Rowe and Sara Howard in goals were particularly vital to the victory.
Womens SL3
FOOTSCRAY handed Baw Baw an 8-1 thumping.
It was always going to be difficult against Footscray, especially after five players withdrew through injury and illness just before the game.
Juniors Lauren Grigoleit and Sara Anderson stepped up to fill the gap.
Baw Baw never gave up in the match but were outclassed by a fitter and more skilled unit.
Under 17 Girls A Shield
A FANTASTIC Baw Baw effort ensured a 4-2 victory against Hockey Geelong.
Caitlin King was promoted from under 15s and played well.
Sara Howard and Liz Christian put enormous pressure on the Geelong backline with great running, strong passing and accurate finishing off in the goals.
Another highlight was Venus Brammall who weaved through the Geelong defence and into the shooting D to score two field goals.
Under 17 Boys Pennant A
THE Baw Baw Bulls carried on their more constructive team play from last week's win to defeat seventh placed, Powerhouse St Kilda 4-3.
Solid work in the midfield by Jesse Ward, Wes Dowel and Julian Hannah ensured the victory.
Greater co-operation by team members and better movement by the forwards into position in the second half got the team over the line.
