Leongatha was in outstanding form with the bat amassing five for 314 against Alberton, with skipper Jason Wilson contributing 99.

Traralgon was excellent in the field against Sale Maffra, dismissing it for 80 and then chalking up 8-208 to move into the final.

Traralgon will be accustomed to finals pressure after winning the 2010 GCL final and runner-up in 2011.

Leongatha has not won a final since 1995 and was runner-up in 2002, its last finals appearance.

Leognatha took out division two at Country Week last season and will join Traralgon in Provincial this year.

Leongatha has three players in the top five run getters for the GCL season and will hope Greg Pickles, Jason Wilson and Mitchell Clarke can lead the way with the bat.

Another fine player is Tim Wightman, who will will receive assistance in the bowling department from Barry Wyatt and Shane Murdoch.

Traralgon pace bowlers Tom Shippen (captain) and Shane Barbour are in the top three wicket takers for the GCL season and will certainly challenge the Leongatha batsmen with support from spinner Michael Warne and Andrew Davidson.

Steve Nicholls comes into the Tornados line up and is a rare talent with the bat.

He will be supported by John Keighran, John Mayman and Dylan Rash.

Both teams look very evenly matched.

The match will get underway at 11am on Sunday.

Leongatha will also meet Traralgon in the under 18 final at Eastern Park, Warragul and Sale Maffra will clash with Bairnsdale at the Hallora Oval, Athlone in the under 16 competition.

Both junior games will begin at 10.15am.

Presentations and the announcement of the All Gippsland Team for 2011-12 will be held after the senior final.
