Summer tour is red hot

07 Jan, 2010 09:51 AM
THREE of the country's biggest music legends burned up the stage in Traralgon as part of the Red Hot Summer Tour on the weekend.

Jimmy Barnes, Adam Brand and Shannon Noll belted out their signature tunes in front of hundreds of people at Victory Park on Sunday afternoon.

``When you play in the places they have, you can't get much more Australian than that,'' Regional Touring event manager David Storer said.

``We got more people than expected and everyone was well behaved.

``It's a great mix - you have Adam Brand with country and country rock and Shannon Noll with rock crossing over to pop and then Jimmy Barnes - well, he's just Australian.''

A temporary power failure during Noll's set did nothing to dampen the crowd's enthusiasm.

``The power did go out but they quickly fixed it,'' Mr Storer said.

The tour has continued around the state and will also visit South Australia and New South Wales.
