THE man charged with causing the death of Morwell six year-old Bangoang Tut days before Christmas last year is facing further driving related charges.
Gary Edward Ryan, 29 of Morwell, made a brief appearance in the Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court via video link from the Melbourne Remand Centre on Tuesday.
Mr Ryan was arrested and charged with culpable driving causing Bangoang's death on 20 December last year after he allegedly consumed 12 stubbies of full strength and home brew ``heavier'' strength beer and then drove his car along Symons Crescent toward Crinigan Road.
He allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.109.
Bangoang was playing in the front yard of his Crinigan Road home when Mr Ryan allegedly crashed through the front fence, hitting the six year-old and his mother Yomding Deng.
Mr Ryan has been charged with three counts of reckless conduct endangering the lives of Ms Deng and two boys who were standing on the footpath and in the next door driveway.
He has also been charged with drink driving and driving an unroadworthy vehicle without a licence.
Mr Ryan has been remanded in custody to face the charges at a later date.
